Candelaria Alvarado’s musical interests began early on, with classical training as a multi-instrumentalist and composer at the age of 7. Her passion carried on through high school and college, eventually moving to New York to support Harvestworks Digital Media Arts Center as an Audio Specialist, and intern at the world music label formally known as Evergreene Music. She graduated with her BA in Contemporary Music from Santa Fe University of Art and Design, then pursued her Master’s in Ethnomusicology from Arizona State University, while concurrently working at the Musical Instrument Museum, first as a theater technician, but eventually assisting in artistic direction for their music series. During her time at MIM, she was remotely the Head of Special Projects for Momentum Artists Management, and remained active as a freelance marketer in the music industry. She moved to Boston in 2016 to join International Music Network and provided management support for a roster of 10 internationally acclaimed touring artists. In 2021, she joined DL Media as an Account Publicist and designed the company's social media offerings. Currently based in Phoenix, AZ she remains active as a touring drum n’ bass dj, producer, and radio host, and runs the electronic music blog BMVNT.com.
